One thing you need to decide on when changing the interior of your house is what style you want the theme to be in. Heck there are tons of choices like Southwest, Country, Oriental, and even Medieval. Yes all of those themes have been used before and will surely be used again.

Interior decoration is up to the person who owns the house and who will be living there for however long they own the house. Of course if it’s a couple they will most likely need to compromise on a few of the areas. You know, the husband wants a sports room done all in Nascar, but the wife would rather have something a bit more tame.

This is where you can either decide to hire a person to help you that is an interior designer, or you can go about it all by yourself. For money savings you will want to do all the stuff by yourself. Of course you will have all the stress of what color to paint the walls and if you want to have wall paper or just a border, or if it’s a feminine look or if you want to go for a more masculine look.

There are so many things to decide when taking on an interior decoration project that most people don’t even attempt it. They don’t want to fight with each other, or their tastes don’t match close enough to get a happy medium of what they want their house to look like.

If you have a boy’s room it’s always a great idea to do maybe his favorite sports team’s colors, or maybe even a space look, with a black ceiling and glow in the dark stars, which you can even arrange like the constellations. It really depends though; if your boy is old enough you should allow him some say in the room and what it looks like. After all it is his room, and he will be in there the most.

The same goes for a girl who you might have. If she is old enough, let her have some input into how her room will look. This will free you up for the other rooms of the house too and cut down on the decisions you and your husband will have to decide on. Plus if the kids happen to share a bathroom, why not allow them to decide how to go about decorating it? As long as it’s not some off the wall theme, this will be great for your kids and make them feel like they have contributed to the new interior decoration of the house.

Now it comes to you and your husband’s room. If he doesn’t want anything that is too girly, try to go with a neutral color and designs that will be something you both like. Maybe let him have the living room his style and you get the kitchen. This will allow you both to feel like you have won something! Overall have a blast with the interior decoration and make it look good!

BMW 2002 hit the floors in the 1960’s and contributed to the success of BMW to a huge extent. The company enjoyed great success with this car. Soon before the onset of 1963, the company discussed about its planning to enter niche markets. For this, it planned to launch 2-door cars that will be light compact and powerful. If your idea is to purchase BMW 2002, then you will also be interested to know the car’s background beforehand to make an informed decision.

A follow-up for agile and powerful cars, BMW 2002 had set a new standard for mini cars. This BMW car was a most preferred choice for numerous drivers. It successfully stood on the top among touring races held worldwide, trying to build a solid foundation for sporting cars.

As BMW thought, the need for a wheelbase car having 2 doors might bring many advantages. The car’s lighter body might help in the improvement of performance while the 2-door idea would just offer the car unique sporty look. 2-door saloon took less time in designing with model wheelbase (New Class) of 4 door, shortening it to 2 inches or 98.4 inches. Wilhelm Hofmeister re-designed the interior. BMW-How it Emerged?

The car was soon about to launch, empowering it with 1,573cc "1600" engine. It got its identity as 1600-2 of which, 2 stands for the 2 doors. Finally, in 1966, 1600-2 saw its launch. It received great acclaim and emerged a winner. Lighter body of the car improved its speed, which was comparatively good than 1800 Sedan. The car’s excellent handling was new to the car. In 1967, Frankfurt Motor Show announced another sportier version. It was the 1600ti, which displayed dual carburetor engine of 105 hp.

The late 1960’s had BMW think about the possibility of offering the 2-door vehicle, a different engine as 2-litre relative of 1600ti’s 4 cylinders. Soon after the announcement of 1600-2, Alex von Falkenhausen fitted a two-liter engine into the vehicle for self-use. Planning Director of BMW, Helmut Werner Bonsch made similar conversion on his own car. These two men had no idea about each other’s car. BMW workshops had both the cars one day arriving together. The two men were fond of the two-liter 2-door car. Each planned to put before BMW board, a proposal stating the model was ready to undergo production.

As the Sales Director of BMW, Paul Hahnemann had thorough knowledge about what the US market required. As such, the sales director took decision in favor of the two-liter version despite opposition. This gave birth to BMW 2002. it had 3 distinct generations in its production life that lasted for almost 9 years. 1st generation cars came into being in 1968. cars of model 71 or the 2nd generation took to manufacture in 1971. Lastly, model 73 or the 3rd generation established in 1973. It lasted until 1976, which was end of the production. The BMW 2002 had many advanced features and was an upgrade of earlier versions of the car models.

Ernest Race the textile and furniture designer was recognized as one amongst the most creative and challenging personality of mid-century design. His furniture designs included for dining, lounge and furniture for case, which was completely, constructed using metals and other improvised materials. His famous works included B.A 3 chair, Antelope chair, Heron chair, Purple chair and so on. His designs were contemporary and liked by all and were in constant production.

The metal furniture designed by Race was enthusiastically bought by the private firms as well as the contractors of the market. He has his best orders for chairs and tables of 1500 in number for troop-ships. Gradually his orders increased day by day, mostly placed by the private sector. Later Race opened his own showroom which was stylish, decorated with plain walls on which coconut mats were hung. Race with his outstanding abilities, demonstrated the essentials of assessing the market needs against the restriction of materials.

The famous B.A3 chairs were preferred for the interiors of a ship. These were constructed out of five interchangeable materials which consisted of sand cast and polished aluminium. He used ingenious paneling which is provided with highly polished laminated plastic and with scratch resistant wooden finish. He covered the honeycomb shaped edges of the table, using aluminium in the form of ribbon. This B.A 3 stood on four raised tapering legs which seem to appear light and contrasting.

The Great Britain festival gained more fame for the works of Race. His works like the Springbok, the Antelope chair were on the display in the exhibition. The Antelope chairs had high aesthetical appearance.

Race continued to design the furniture using steel rod which had an appreciable demand in market. He developed the rocking chair in the year 1948, after being inspired from a 1850s Winfield rocking chair made of metal. A special feature of the rocking chair was pretty interesting; it had a seat with a back made of undulating steel wire.

In the year 1955, Race introduced the Heron armchair, which was a very creative internal work, constructed with welded steel rod. He replaced the use of wooden frames with the steel rod and also latex foam which was of light weight. This furniture provided at most comfort.

Race Rockers, was a metal rocking chair designed by Race in the year 1948. The chair is a linen union, and was manufactured in three colours. The race rocker was recently auctioned for a sum of £464.12.

Isokon Penguin Donkey 2 was one of the best utility furniture. It was basically a desk like thing, an ideal place for books, CDs, magazines, newspapers, remote control and so on. This furniture was the second design in the Penguin Donkey series of furniture.

The Neptune chair, renowned furniture was designed by Race in the year 1953. This was made of Beachwood and webbing. This had a large scale sales world wide.

Race’s contribution to the world of furniture design was a significant one, which led to the evolution of modern furniture designing.

It is said that design and architectural spirit were in Osvaldo Borsani’s blood since an early age. He was born in 1911 to Gaetano Borsani, who was a celebrated furniture designer of his time. The family, in which Osvaldo Borsani was born into, was made up of designers since his brother also collaborated with him in his design works.

Osvaldo Borsani joined Politecnico di Milano in 1937 where he enrolled for a course in architecture. Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, he joined the family business helping his father in his design work. During this time, he mainly concentrated in carrying out furniture designs.

Osvaldo Borsani became recognised for his design work in the 1940’s and 1950’s. During this period he produced a lot of furniture designs including seating and case goods in addition to storage pieces. During this period, one of his most outstanding designs was the wall mounted shelving system that he designed in 1946.

Osvaldo Borsani’s work attracted high end clients including Sussu, Crippa, Fontanna and Fabbri. While working with his brother Fulgencio, they founded a furniture design company, which they subsequently named Tecno. This company fully adopted technology and conducted intensive research before coming up with various designs.

Tecno as a company was credited with the design of the highly famous P40 chaise lounge. The chaise lounge was able to assume approximately four hundred and eighty six postures with rubber arms. The D70, which was a sofa version, was also produced during this period.

Osvaldo Borsani acted as the sole designer for Tecno Company for approximately thirty years. In the middle of the 1980’s other designers started sending their design work to this company. Some of the designers who contributed to the design work that were being carried out by Tecno were Norman Foster and Gae Aulenti among others.

Over the years Tecno, the design company that was started by Osvaldo Borsani and his brother Fulgencio has built a name for it and is highly recognised for its innovative office furniture designs.

Since 1933, Osvaldo Borsani had been participating in the Triennale di Milano. During this period Osvaldo entered into a joint project with other architects and together they worked on a project that was dubbed “Casa Minima”. Even after the completion of the “Casa Minima” project, he continued with his exhibitions at the Triennale di Milano for several other decades.

Osvaldo Borsani won several awards during his lifetime. His outstanding design works were exhibited by various design houses and museums across Europe. At fifty one years of age, Osvaldo Borsani won the highly acclaimed Premio Compasso d’Oro.
One of the design works that was done by Osvaldo Borsani is the rosewood and parchment cabinet.

It had two sliding top doors made from glass in addition to two other relatively bigger doors which were located at the bottom of the cabinet. A total of six small drawers were fixed next to the bottom doors. This cabinet was made out of long lasting ebony wood with a smooth finish.
